What is the MPN? The Manufacturing Professional’s Network is an informal group that meets to network and learn about manufacturing resources. It is hosted by CTAC, is free and open to anyone that acts in a management capacity in a manufacturing company. More info can be found here.

April’s MPN will feature two speakers from Igus. Alan Kwoo from the cable carrier and flexible cable division, and Jeff Mabbutt from the bearings division.

Alan came to Igus from the consulting side of the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SRED) program, he’ll be providing an overview of cable carrier and flexible cable products and applications for various industries from forestry, mining, medical, automation, underwater exploration and more. Jeff was industrial maintenance mechanic for ten years before studying Plastics Engineering. His talk will cover applications suited to composite bearings, The true cost of lubrication, and Industry examples.
